The latest edition to our range, we released our Dark Skies rum in 2021 in recognition of the Cambrian Mountains Dark Skies initiative. Being on the edge of the Cambrian Mountains, which are one of the best places in the UK to see the stars, we wanted to name our rum in honour of this.
Our Dark Skies Rum is oak matured with hints of vanilla and raisin and just enough sweetness to work well as either a supping rum, or with a mixer.

We started distilling in the autumn of 2012 at Glynhynod Farm in Ceredigion but our story starts many years before that. Way back in 1992 John Savage-Onstwedder, one of the founders of the renowned Teifi Farmhouse Cheese and an organic farmer, commissioned the world famous Springbank Distillery in Campbeltown, Scotland to produce the world’s first organic whisky of the modern era to commemorate the eagerly anticipated new millennium. Dà Mhìle (pronounced da-vee-lay) is Gaelic for 2000. |
